The Reynolds Journalism Institute provides media industry leaders and practitioners with quality research services to address issues, challenges and opportunities facing the industry and concerning the future of journalism. RJI is committed to engaging media professionals, scholars and the general public in research projects aimed at improving the practice and understanding of journalism in democratic societies.

RJI researchers have extensive experience in research design, sampling methodology, empirical measurement, data analysis, interpretation of study results, and provision of actionable implications and knowledge. RJI has rich resources regarding the relationships of news media and mass communication to civic engagement, community knowledge, social capital and public affairs.
