#RJInnovation (2012): Growing tech talent

By RJI on May 9, 2012 0 Comments Ideas

As RJI and the mid-Missouri entrepreneurial community come up with more innovative concepts and projects, how do they find and cultivate the young talent to drive those initiatives? Keith Politte, RJI's manager of the Technology Testing Center, reviewed the various projects RJI advanced over the past year to grow local technology and entrepreneurial talent.

Leveraging RJI’s relationships with various industry leaders such as Apple and Adobe, multiple presentations offered insights into a variety of emerging technologies. Apple kicked off the year with the latest in iOS mobile development, which was followed by an in depth conversation with Adobe regarding new developments concerning HTML5.

RJI also played a substantive role in advancing many of the community initiatives to convene area developers with their entrepreneurial counterparts. Politte's presentation included short video clips from the RJI/REDI Economic Development Summit, Politte’s Kauffman Foundation project and TEDxMU, all relating to growing local entrepreneurial activity.
