"Samsung witness: I "exposed" Apple to my tablet ideas in 1981," gantdaily.com, August 15, 2012.

Samsung has called upon Roger Fidler to testify against Apple’s claim that its idea for the iPad is authentic and original. Fidler testified via video tape in Apple’s intellectual property case against Samsung. Fidler stated that he showed Apple his tablet designs 31 years ago, which is where he believes Apple got the idea to develop the iPad.

“Apple personnel were exposed to my tablet ideas and prototypes…My feeling was that it should be something that’s lightweight, portable, with a flat screen that had an ability to use a touch screen,” Fidler said when he referred to his plans for a tablet in 1981, according to Bloomberg News.
