Gazzetta’s monthly RJI Innovation Column will share how they use service design to move news and information businesses from good intentions to actionable strategy. Gazzetta was founded in 2024 by Patrick Boehler, joined by Madison Karas, David Kuszmar, and collaborators.

Patrick Boehler runs Gazzetta, a research and consulting practice helping journalism organizations become more service-centered. He previously led digital transformation at various public media organizations, co-founded an environmental reporting non-profit and reported for The New York Times, the South China Morning Post, taught at the University of Hong Kong, and was a 2023 Sulzberger Fellow at Columbia University.
