Reinterpretar/APFJ
Reinterpretar partnered with Factchequeado to lead a workshop at the Queens Museum about how to identify misinformation and improve your information diet. We organized an open call for people from the Queens community to attend. Through the community engagement efforts of the Queens Museum, we were able to reach people from outside Queens as well. What was new for us was the outreach itself with a new partner and the fact that most of the participants did not have a journalism background.

I learned that it is worth it to lead these workshops and help open conversations within the community, breaking the barrier between journalists and communities. We received great questions, and people were very engaged. It was a confirmation that we need to secure funding for in-person events and build the capacity to host debates and conversations.
